Clematis 'Ruriokoshi' (るりおこし)

One of the Japanese "okoshi". ;) Patens 'Ruriokoshi' just beginning to show the color. Lots of buds forming an unusual looking balls...about 45 of them at the moment. :)

That must be the doublest double clematis in existence! Maybe they crossed in a dahlia ;)
Does "okoshi" have a meaning?

I do not know about crossing thing Mara...They are actually clones from the wild patens... double form of the species Clematis patens. Ruriokoshi るりおこし (white with pale blue-purple tons), Yukiokoshi 雪おこし (a white form). ;)
